Uses:

• Analgesic
• Antipyretic
• Anti-inflammatory
• Mefenamic acid is also used to treat menstrual pain.

Precautions and warnings:

• Even in the absence of any risk factors, mefenamic acid can raise your chance of suffering from a heart attack or stroke.
• This medication should not be taken right before or right after coronary artery bypass grafting, or CABG, heart bypass surgery.

You should not use mefenamic acid if you are allergic to it, or if you have:

• Stomach ulcer.3
•  ulcerative colitis .
• kidney disease
• a history of asthma or severe allergic reaction after taking aspirin or an NSAID.
