Therapeutic Indications Of Deflat Tablets

• This medication is indicated for the relief of painful symptoms such as the sensation of pressure, fullness in the epigastrium, and intestinal spasm – due to excessive accumulation of gases that may be formed in the digestive tract in the following cases:

1. Air swallowing (aerophagia)
2. Functional dyspepsia
3. Irritable bowel syndrome
4. Peptic ulcer
5. Postoperative gaseous distension
6. Infant colic.

Method Of Administration Of Deflat Tablets

• It is recommended to take one tablet four times daily after meals and at bedtime. Tablets are to be chewed well before being swallowed alone or with some water.
• For diagnostic purposes (endoscopic, radiological, or sonographic investigations), tablets can be given in the recommended dosage for 2 – 3 days before the day of examination, additional tablet on the day of examination is recommended.
• The maximum recommended dose for adults is 500 mg in 24 hours unless directed by the doctor.
• Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
• If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
• If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
• Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.
