
- Salbutamol active substance belongs to a group of substances called bronchodilators .
- It relaxes the muscles in the wall of the small airways in the lungs, causing their extension .
- Thereby reducing the tightness of the chest, wheezing, and cough, leading to relief of the breath.
- The duration of the effect of salbutamol is from 4 to 6 hours.
How To Use:
- As can also be side effects associated with overdose dosage or frequency of administration should be changed only with a prescription.
The usual dosage of the drug is:
Adults:
- At 5-20 ml . syrup to four times daily.
- If there is no corresponding bronchodilation, each unit dosage may be progressively increased to 20 ml . syrup.
- Some patients have experienced relief from 5 ml. syrup three or four times daily.
Children:
2-6 years :
- 5-5 ml . Syrup three or four times daily.
6-12 :
- 5 ml . Syrup three or four times daily.
